(Carey speaking): MM refuses to let me hold my daughter which is going on 2 days now b/c I've got a cold.  Mom and Dad are sick too and it's killing them that they can't hold her.

Nothing really going on at the Edwards' house...

Nothing really going on at the Edwards' house... we just feed, burb, change diapers and sleep while Abby sleeps. I also thought everyone would like to see the little contraption that Abby has been sleeping in for the last week. She would not sleep in her bassinett/pack-n-play so her Sittie came up with this system.
She didn't want her to be sleeping on the floor so we put the bouncy seat in the pack n play and she loves it!! We have the pack-n-play in the middle of the couches in the den and mama and I have been sleeping on the 2 couches. She has decided to stay 1 more week so I am very excited to have her company and her help as Carey goes back to work.

Also, we were very excited that Courtney and Kevin came to visit us for 2 nights.

Carey has had a cold and hasn't held her in 2 days so he finally got to hold her today. You could tell that she missed him , she just kept looking at him.

What a wonderful Thanksgiving!! We have so much to be thankful for. We are so blessed to have a new baby girl that is healthy and just the love of our lives. My mom has been here for two weeks. I think she is going to stay one more week before she heads back to Cleveland. Thank goodness she has a good boss :). We are having so much fun learning and getting to know Abby. She already rules the roost and she is not even 1 week old. Carey and I wish everyone a great Thanksgiving and we hope to see you all soon!!

Surprise...she's here!

Abby Rose Edwards was born at 7:50 a.m. on November 21st, 2008 (exactly one week early). She weighed 7 lbs 8.4 ozs and was 20.5 inches long. We are blessed with a healthy baby girl!

Doctor update

Well, Friday at my last doctor's appointment I had dilated to almost 4 centimeters and Abby's little head is down and ready so we are very grateful for that. Also my platelet count had gone back up to 140,000 which is in the low normal but still it is normal. I am very thankful for all of the prayers. As of today, no other changes. Just waiting to go to the doctor of Thursday. I will update everyone then.

Baby Shower

Well, we have 3 more weeks left. I can't believe that the time is almost here. My wonderful family and friends gave me a baby shower on October 25th. It was at Carey's Aunt Carla's house and we had a wonderful time. Abby got so many wonderful things.
